Flat-Pack Furniture Collection and Assembly in Canterbury

A flat-pack wardrobe is heavier and far more awkward than the shop makes it look, and it rarely fits in a car. We collect from the store or the seller, load it properly and bring it to you, which is often cheaper than paying the retailer's own delivery charge.

Give us the collection address and the number of boxes if you know it. Long thin boxes and the odd two-person lift change what we bring, so it is worth a sentence when you ask for the quote.

Assembly happens where the piece is going to live, not downstairs where it will then be too wide for the stairs. Wardrobes, beds, chests, desks, shelving and kitchen units are the usual list, built from the instructions with the fixings that came in the box.

The packaging goes back down with us if you want it out of the way, flattened rather than left in a pile by the door.

A lot of Canterbury housing is period stock, and flat-pack is designed for square rooms with flat walls. Sloping floors in a cottage, a chimney breast eating into the wall, low beams over the top of a wardrobe. All of it is workable, and all of it is worth knowing before the build starts rather than halfway through.
